Happy post-Turkey Day! Hope everyone traveled safely and is pleasantly stuffed! Myself? I enjoyed time with the family back in North Carolina but am glad to be back in San Francisco. I think my coworker's shenanigans may have been extra incentive to hurry back to the office! Working at SquareTrade HQ, in downtown SF is anything but boring. It's hard work to run best-in-class service, but truly rewarding! One of the many perks of working at SquareTrade HQ is having colleagues who are also known for having quite the sense of humor...
Hint: This involved the desk of a co-worker who was heading out of the office for vacation until Monday... I tweeted about it then but wanted to be sure this was documented and shared with fellow SquareTraders and fans. The Supplies: When I came across B.J. last Tuesday, he had laid out the supplies in preparation: a roll of gift wrapping paper, tape and ample craft paper.

The scene: Our colleague Travis had already headed out on vacation and wasn't scheduled to return until the following Monday.
Motivation: Who needs any other motivation other than good, clean fun?
Actually, the ops team is known for ongoing, back-and-forth pranks like this.
B.J. and other members of the team wanted to have something for Travis to come back to from vacation.
The result? This is the lovely present Travis found upon his return to the office Monday.
The lesson: Perhaps we can say it was a playful way to say travel safe and enjoy Turkey Day...oh, and... "Don't stay away from the office too long!"
Thankfully my desk was spared. I returned to the office today, sans gift wrap. As for Travis, he says he's quite happy with the new layout and plans to keep it for a while. He was, however, sad that he already had to unwrap his filing cabinet and monitor.
Other pranks: Previous shenanigans included typical office antics: small post-it under the mouse to cover the optical laser, etc.
I'll of course be on the lookout to catch these guys in action and will share more pics on our facebook page:
