SquareTrade Connects During the Holiday Season

Reading Time: 2 minutes

The holiday season is in full swing at SquareTrade: strands of twinkling lights, giant paper snowflakes, way too many baked goods, and even a big, crackling fire (courtesy of YouTube).

In the spirit of spreading the joy this year, SquareTrade is giving back to our community in three special ways:

Toy Drive

img_1944Seizing the opportunity to channel our inner children and hit the toy aisle, SquareTraders have been filling an enormous donation bin with Legos, dolls, art supplies, games, and more. On December 22nd, each of these gifts will be hand-delivered to a patient at the Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford. The holidays can be a tough time for hospitalized kids and their families, and it’s our hope that these toys will brighten their day.

EatClub Donationscreen-shot-2016-12-13-at-1-05-48-pmOne of the perks of working at SquareTrade is lunch every Friday, catered by EatClub. On December 23rd, however, we’ll be packing our own lunches and donating to Little Brothers – Friends of the Elderly of San Francisco. This non-profit, volunteer-based organization works to relieve isolation and loneliness among the Bay Area’s elderly.

 SF Food Bank Volunteer Day

img_2005On Friday, December 9th, a big group of us spent a fun day at the SF Food Bank sorting donations and packing grocery boxes to help support the organization’s mission to end hunger in San Francisco and Marin.

It’s a great feeling to be able to support these important issues in our community. If you’d like to learn more, the links above provide information about how you can help, too.

Wishing you a safe and happy holiday season!
