Women in Leadership: An Evening Of Meaningful Conversation

Reading Time: 2 minutes

On June 27th, 2018, SquareTrade hosted close to 300 people for our first ever Lean In, Geek Out: Women in Leadership Dinner & Discussion in partnership with Girl Geek.

San Francisco came out in droves as this sold out event had the biggest turn-out of all Girl Geek dinners in 2018! Our very own, Wini Hebalkar, VP of Supply Chain and Operations, moderated a meaningful conversation between six incredibly successful women (including SquareTrade’s VP of Product Management, Margaret Reeves.)

Also leading the way and offering loads of motivation and advice on our super-talented panel were:

@GrandRoundsInc VP Product Management, Nupur Srivastava

@Udemy SVP Engineering, Claire Hough

@SFGiants EVP, Staci Slaughter

@Harbor, Product Compliance Manager, Bonnie Shu

@Nomiku CEO, Lisa Q. Fetterman

The evening was full of real-life lessons, insightful tips and of course, many laughs.

Here are just a few quotes from the night:

“You’ve got a job to do. Put your best effort forward and crush those insecurities!” said Bonnie Shu, Product Compliance Manager from Harbor

Staci Slaughter from the SF Giants says she had to step back and trust folks to do the jobs themselves.

Imposter syndrome? “Who cares if they don’t like you!” says Lisa Q. Fetterman

But that’s not all, people weighed in on Twitter too:
