This game will be available on the Nintendo Switch. And while not too much information about the game has leaked, we do know it focuses on Link and Zelda skydiving and flying through the lands of Hyrule. But you’ll have to play the game to know more.

Zelda Tears of the Kingdom will be available on May 12.

3. Make a City Your Playground in Bomb Rush Cyberfunk

Bomb Rush Cyberfunk is all about using graffiti to stake your claim on a huge metropolis, which you can explore on your bike or skateboard.

You can also dance and try lots of awesome tricks and moves. Cool features like a boost pack lets you tag high places with ease. This game has original music, and the graphics could be part of a 90s cartoon instead of a video game.

You can play it on Nintendo Switch or PC when it’s released sometime in the summer.

4. Use the Force with Star Wars Jedi: Survivor

One of the 2023 video games that Star Wars fans are very excited about is Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. This game is a sequel to Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, a popular game that came out at the end of 2019.

While Fallen Order was an action-adventure RPG, Survivor has a darker tone. Cal Kestis and his droid, BD-1, attempt to stay safe from the Empire as Jedi numbers dwindle and the galaxy becomes a harder place to live.

This game is available on:

  • PC
  • Xbox Series X
  • PS5

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is set to be released on March 16.

5. EA Games Remakes Classic Game Dead Space

The Dead Space remake by EA Games improves a popular PC game released in 2008. Isaac Clarke is an engineer trapped on an abandoned spacecraft, but the ship is not as empty as it seems. An alien artifact transformed everyone on board into horrific creatures. Danger lurks everywhere, and resources are scarce.

The new version removes loading screens and makes this game available on:

  • PlayStation 5
  • Xbox Series X
  • PC

The remake of Dead Space has a release date of January 27.

6. Introduce Fun for All Ages With Kirby’s Return to Dream Land by Nintendo

Kirby’s Return to Dream Land Deluxe by Nintendo is suitable for all ages and available for Nintendo Switch. Kirby is a childlike puffball who can attack with a sword or float with a parasol.

While it’s not a completely open world, there are several subgames—games within the game—including Samurai Kirby and Magolor’s Tome Trackers. You can play these alone or with others when you feel like taking a break from the main game.

Kirby’s Return to Dream Land Deluxe will debut as one on the most anticipated 2023 video games on February 24.

7. Metal Slug Tactics Will Teach You the Ins & Outs of Combat

With Metal Slug Tactics, you view the battlefield from above, and you can call in reinforcements or heavy artillery, including metal slugs.

Players can use skill trees, perks, and a super attack-fueling adrenaline system to defeat many bosses from past games in the series. But in this new game, the main villain is Donald Morden, the leader of a coup who wants to take over the World Government. This is where Marco, Fio, Eri, and Tarma come in to lead the Peregrine Falcon Squad into new battlefields.

An interesting aspect of this game that sets it apart from other military games is that the terrain tiles combine in different ways every time you play. So, this lets players win every time through calculated strategy, not memorization.

Metal Slug Tactics is available on Nintendo Switch and PC. This is one of the 2023 video games whose launch delays pushed back the original 2022 release date. Still, there’s no firm date for this game’s release so keep an eye out if you’re waiting for this one.

8. Fan of Elder Scrolls? Then Check Out Starfield

Starfield is an open-world RPG from Bethesda Game Studios, the same company that created The Elder Scrolls series, a popular group of fantasy open-world RPGs. This is the first new universe Bethesda Game Studios have released in 25 years, so it’s understandable that gamers can’t wait to get their hands on Starfield.

You can live out your space exploration dreams with customized characters, bases, and ships. Plus, there are more than a thousand different planets to investigate. Starfield will be available on Xbox Series X or PC.

This game will come out in the first half of 2023, but there’s no specific date yet.

9. If You Like Anime & Puzzles, Fire Emblem Engage Could Be Your Favorite Game of 2023

Fire Emblem Engage is a Nintendo Switch strategy game that’s turn-based. So, it gives an overhead, third-person view of the landscape and characters.

It has a visual anime style, and it’s set in Elyos, a continent with four different realms and a central holy land. You can use a variety of skills and customizations, plus you can also summon other heroes to help you bring peace to the continent with the power of Emblem Rings.

Fire Emblem Engage is due to be released on January 20.
